Bottled by Douglas Laing, an independent bottler of fine Scotch whisky established in 1948. The concept is to enable whisky lovers around the world a chance to come s close as they can to sampling whisky as it was straight from the cask or having a whisky experience like no other.

Created to honour the heroes on the frontline throughout the Covid pandemic. Douglas Laing will also donate 10,000 British Pounds ($20,000 AUD Approx). There’s is a QR code on the bottle giving you the vote on your charity of choice. Big Peat Heroes Edition is blended with the best Islay peated whiskies and measures at 40PPM on the peaty scale. Bottled at 48% alc/vol.

Our Tasting Notes

Nose: Garden meat smoker, earthy peat, Christmas spices and creamy vanilla.

Palate: dark caramel, fresh porridge oats, sweet stewed apples, vanilla anglaise and layers of drying peat smoke.

Finish: Lemon tart, toasted oak and caramel with sea salt.
