The Whisky

This award winning single malt is a tribute to the historic distilling style of the Lowlands, reimagined for the modern era. While most Scotch is distilled twice, this expression undergoes a third distillation in traditional copper pot stills, resulting in a spirit of exceptional clarity and elegance.

The “Smooth & Vibrant” character is shaped through a specialised maturation process: the spirit is aged in a combination of virgin American white oak barrels and first-fill ex-bourbon casks. Bottled at 46% ABV, it is non-chill filtered and natural in colour, presenting a pale straw or “sunlight gold” hue.

Our Tasting Notes

Nose: Bright, fresh, and remarkably floral. You are greeted by the aroma of sweet vanilla and white chocolate, followed by a refreshing layer of crisp green apple, summer berries, and freshly cut grass. There is a delicate, honeyed sweetness that underpins the entire bouquet.

Palate: The arrival is silky and incredibly smooth, coating the mouth with poached pears and creamy toffee. Mid-palate, it reveals a vibrant complexity of roasted almonds and warm baking spices, balanced by a bright, citrusy note of lemon zest and elderflower.

Finish: Medium-long and elegantly clean. The finish lingers with a final flourish of sweet honey and white pepper, finally tapering off with a refreshing trail of vanilla and toasted oak.

The Distillery

The Glasgow Distillery Company, established in 2014, was the city’s first independent single malt distillery in over a century. By focusing on triple distillation for this specific release, they pay homage to the Lowland heritage of producing lighter, more approachable whiskies. The distillery is renowned for its slow distillation process, which maximises copper contact to remove impurities and produce an incredibly “clean” spirit that shines even at a young age.
