Glenfiddich is one of the most well known and loved distilleries in the world and is owned by William Grant & Sons. The distillery sits in the town of Dufftown in Moray in the Speyside whisky region of Scotland. Glenfiddich means ‘valley of the deer’ in Scottish Gaelic which is why the distillery logo is a stag. Founded in 1886 by William Grant who was also the founder of The Balvenie and Mortlach distilleries. The output of this distillery is over 10 million litres of spirit each year which makes this one of the largest single malt distilleries in the world in terms of output. Because of this it is nicknamed ‘the giant’. The distillery boasts 30 stills and 24 washbacks, it’s own cooperage and its own bottling hall. With 43 warehouses onsite to mature the whisky. They use mainly ex bourbon American Oak barrels to mature the whisky but also use rum casks from the Caribbean, and sherry butts from Jerez in Spain.

This limited edition 16 Year Old Speyside single malt showcases the power of intuition in whisky making, much like the precision and instinct required in Formula 1 racing. It is crafted from a masterful marriage of American oak wine casks, new American barrels, and second-fill bourbon casks, creating a rich and complex flavour profile. Bottled at 43% alc/vol, this whisky offers Glenfiddich’s signature velvety smoothness, but with an added layer of nuanced sweetness and refined spice.

Encased in striking, F1-inspired packaging, this release is a bold tribute to innovation, heritage, and the moment when intuition takes the lead.

Our Tasing Notes

Nose: Rich and beautifully sweet. Inviting notes of biscuity cheesecake base, maple syrup, and caramelised ginger, with a subtle undercurrent of toasted oak and vanilla.

Palate: Indulgent and confectionary sweet, delivering a luxurious, silky and syrupy mouthfeel. Flavours of fresh fruit salad and Chantilly cream glide across the palate, balanced by warming spices and rich toffee.

Finish: Super smooth and remarkably sustained sweetness, with mellow echoes of gentle oak and spice that linger long after the last sip.
