Description
Volume: 700ml ABV: 43% Age: No Age Statement Country: Scotland
A vintage from the 1980’s is always hard to come by and at this price who could ask for a better representation. This bottling from Glenrothes is certainly rare and will not be around for long. The spirit has been maturing in a combination of Spanish and American oak which previously held both sherry and whisky for two decades. This slow maturation technique has delivered a truly sensational single malt for all to enjoy.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: A really memorable rich and spicy nose that delivers blackberries, raspberries and blueberries.
Palate: The richness is everything the nose tells us, lots of flavour. Summer pudding, berry compote and candied orange peel.
Finish: This singl;e malt has a very long finish and coats the mouth with sweet flavours.
