Limeburners Barrel Strength Single Malts are 61% abv. They are bottled exactly as they come out of the barrel.  As the distillery do not use any caramel colouring or cold filtration, each expression shows the unique qualities of the barrel(s) it has been in. Made and hand bottled at the Great Southern Distillery on the harbour’s edge in Albany, this complex and elegant single malt whisky is distilled in traditional small batch copper pot stills from local barley. M268 is matured in an ex-bourbon barrel and finished in an old Australian Muscat barrel.

Limeburners Director’s Cut comes from the Directors select reserve of barrels and represents the top shelf of the Limeburners range.

Official Tasting Notes

Exhibiting spice and fruit aromas when neat, a splash of water unleashes malted barley, muscat and vanilla with hints of toffee, caramel and raisins. M268 is a medium / dark coloured whisky with an intense muscat flavour, a full taste and a smooth finish.
