What sets this release apart is its full maturation in Oloroso sherry butts sourced from Bodega Jose y Miguel Martin in Jerez, Spain. This means the whisky spent its entire aging process in these sherry casks, which imparts a distinct character. Specifically, this release is a small batch, drawn from only 12 sherry butts (8 first-fill and 4 refill). First-fill casks, having never held whisky before, tend to have a stronger influence on the spirit.
