Aged in a French Oak, Chapel Hill, Tawny Port cask, it’s a big juicy whisky, rich in flavour and remarkably balanced considering its complexity.
Tasting Notes from the Distiller
Nose: Raisins and cigar box toffees followed by vanilla and honey soft leather and orange blossom.
Pallet: Sweet on first approach transitioning into a savoury profile mid way through. Burst of oak, spices, and cured meat accompanied by rich toffee, a drying finish nurtures the return of fruit and a touch of aniseed.
Finish: Long and rich leaves the mouth tingling and wanting more, bursts of fruit drives sweet saliva well after the first taste, a squeeze to the tip of the tongue and juices running…. glorious embrace.
