Using copper pot stills and time-honoured techniques, The English Distillery carefully matures its whisky in a variety of cask types, creating a diverse range of expressions. Distilled in 2011 and matured in both ex bourbon oak and ex Oloroso Sherry oak for no less than seven years. Bottled in October 2018. Only 2943 bottles for worldwide consumption and bottled at 46% Alc/vol.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: Christmas cake aromas, raisins and sultanas, creamy vanilla, figs and dates.
Palate: Dark fruit jam, summer berries, orange marmalade, tobacco and hints of rose and sweet vanilla.
Finish: Long and oily, raspberry boiled sweeties and citrus peel.
