Traditional Scottish Hand-Crafted Quaich Number 116
Height: 4cm
Diameter: 9cm
Length: 17cm
The Quaich is a traditional Scottish shallow drinking cup which is created with two handles on opposite sides. Early Quaich’s were carved out of wood, modern Quaich’s are now made from pewter. With help from a local carpenter we have re-created the traditional Quaich as it would have been in it’s early days. The days of William Wallace and Robert The Bruce when it was used as a symbol of friendship and unity. This purchase includes a hand-crafted wooden Quaich which is one of a kind and it is gift wrapped in a presentation box. This particular Scottish Quaich is made from local oak and it is one of a kind. Hand turned by a local Australian craftsman from a single piece of Australian hardwood this Quaich has retained its fine detail and grain. Your Quaich is one of a kind and ready to share in good company. Slainte!
All are quaichs can be engraved at an extra charge of $30 per Quaich (up to 25 characters) please click on related products to add the engraving service. It is tradition to have the recipients initials carved into the wooden Quaich. https://www.thewhiskycompany.com.au/product/engraving-service/
