Tasmanian Treat
We’ve managed to secure another batch of Sullivans Cove Single Cask whisky from The Tasmanian Distillery. This single malt single cask has been matured in American Oak for 16 years and bottled at cask strength. The label reads ‘The Tasmanian Distillery’ as Sullivans Cove did not want the bottler to use their registered brand on the label.
The contents was taken from barrel 91 which was distilled back in the year 2000. It was chillfiltered and bottled at 42.8% abv by the Corowa Distilling Co. Another rare and certainly small batch bottling from this world famous distillery.
Only 97 bottles available.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: Lots of stewed fruits, peach, plum and apricots. Light vanilla and almonds.
Palate: It’s so smooth on the palate, a wonderful mouthfeel. Stewed fruits again, vanilla and almonds, touch of pineapple and coconut. Some chocolate powder and fresh malted barley.
Finish: Again very smooth and medium length, dries on the palate nicely with vanilla and raisin biscuits.
Don’t miss out on a very collectable bottle from this Australian award winning distillery.
