Cask Strength Whisky
Cask Strength Whisky
We have classified some whiskies on our website as a whisky that has cask strength.
These whiskies have usually a high alcohol by volume generally over the usual 40% to 46% you would find most whiskies are rated. A cask strength whisky is usually a whisky that no water has been added to after maturation or before bottling and you are experiencing the full flavour and natural mouthfeel of the whisky as it was in the barrel.
Choosing a whisky which is cask strength would suggest a higher ABV and should be consumed with a higher amount of responsibility.
So by choosing ‘Cask Strength’ you are choosing a whisky without the addition of water or minimal addition of water meaning a fuller flavour.
