Glenburgie Single Malt Scotch Whisky
About the Distillery
This distillery was started in 1810 and had an endless supply of pure fresh water to make it’s spirit from the local springs. It needs the supply as it produces around 4 million litres of malt whisky yearly.
The Glenburgie Distillery has stood the test of time and was able to survive through the Great Depression. It did however closed for 8 years in the 1870’s due to a trade depression.
One whisky aficionado said ‘This whisky is pale gold in colour, big and sweet and malty, rich and full-bodied on the palate with a great sense of balance and intrigue, plus a long, lingering finish with a taste of candied tropical fruit and toffee’.
