We use Australia Post and Sendle to deliver your orders within Australia.

Free Tracking:

All deliveries include free tracking, and you’ll receive an email with your tracking number once your order is dispatched. You can then follow your package’s progress through the Australia Post or Sendle website. (If you don’t receive a tracking email, please check your spam folder.)

Shipping Costs:

Shipping costs are calculated based on the size and weight of your order and your location. You’ll see the exact shipping cost in your shopping cart before you check out.

Dispatch Times:

  • Australia Post: Orders placed before 12pm AEST on weekdays are usually dispatched the same day, but this is not guaranteed.
  • Sendle: Orders are typically dispatched within 48 hours, depending on the courier’s schedule.

Delivery Times:

Delivery times are estimated at 2-6 business days, depending on your location.

Gift Wrapping & Engraving:

  • Gift Wrapping: Please allow an extra 24-48 hours for gift wrapping.
  • Engraving: Please allow an extra 2-5 business days for engraving.

Our convenient Click & Collect service is available to customers in the Melbourne area. Simply select “FREE Click & Collect” at checkout to pick up your order at our Carrum Downs location in Melbourne, Victoria.

Sunday: Closed

How it Works:

  1. Place Your Order: Choose “FREE Click & Collect” at checkout.
  2. Confirmation Email: Once your order is ready for pickup, we’ll send you an email with the address details and pickup information for our Carrum Downs location.
  3. Collect Your Order: Visit our Carrum Downs location during our opening hours. Park in the public car park in front of the building and have your identification (e.g., driver’s license) and a digital or paper copy of your order ready. If someone else is picking up your order, please let us know in advance by emailing or noting it in your order comments.
  4. Order Completion: Once you collect your order, we’ll process it as completed and send you a confirmation email.

Delivery Options

You have several choices for how your order is delivered:

  • Australia Post Parcel Post: This is our free standard shipping option within Australia.
  • Australia Post Express Post: A faster, paid option for delivery within Australia.
  • Sendle: A courier service that utilizes various carriers like Fastway (Aramex), Couriers Please, and Northline. Sendle automatically includes $500 insurance for your order. We’ll let you know which courier Sendle has assigned to your order once it’s processed. Dispatch times with Sendle can vary depending on the courier and their pickup schedule.
  • Click & Collect: If you’re in the Melbourne area, you can pick up your order from our Carrum Downs location for free. (See details above about our Click & Collect service).

Important Notes:

  • When you choose the free shipping option, your order will be sent via Australia Post Parcel Post.
  • While we provide estimated delivery times for Australia Post, we cannot provide specific delivery timeframes for Sendle due to the varying courier schedules.

Estimated Delivery Times with Australia Post

Here’s a general guide to Australia Post delivery times outside of peak periods (excluding the Festive period, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, and Easter):

Parcel Post:

  • Melbourne: 1-2 business days
  • Sydney: 1-2 business days
  • Adelaide: 2-3 business days
  • Brisbane: 3-4 business days
  • Darwin: 4-5 business days
  • Perth: 4-5 business days

Express Post:

  • Most major cities (including Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Darwin, and Perth): Next business day delivery.

Urgent Orders:

If your order is urgent, please call us at 0434 438 617 to discuss expedited shipping options.

Please Note:

These are estimated delivery times and may vary depending on factors outside of our control, such as weather events or unexpected delays with Australia Post.

Important Delivery Information

  • Express Post to Rural Australia: Please note that Australia Post does not offer an Express Post service for fragile items to rural areas. While their calculator may show this option, you will be charged for Parcel Post with a signature service. We will still package your item with Express Post care.
  • Changing Delivery Address: Once your order has been dispatched, you can change the delivery address directly through the tracking email provided by Australia Post or Sendle. This service is free of charge. However, if we need to recall an item or make changes to the delivery address on your behalf, we will be charged a fee by the courier, which will be passed on to you.
  • Incorrect Delivery Address: If you provide an incorrect delivery address, the goods will be returned to us. You will be responsible for the additional shipping costs to resend the order to the correct address.
  • Age Verification: The person receiving the goods must be at least 18 years old. The courier may request proof of age with a valid driver’s license, passport, or other accepted form of ID.
  • Signature Required: A signature is required for all deliveries. If no one over 18 is available to sign for the delivery, the goods will be taken to your local Australia Post branch, and a notification card will be left for you. If the goods are not collected from Australia Post within 7 days, they will be returned to The Whisky Company.

While we use Australia Post for our deliveries, please note that we are not responsible for their delivery times. The estimated delivery times provided are a guide based on Australia Post’s information and our own data from the past 5 years.

Delivery times may vary, especially during peak periods like the festive season, Easter, and public holidays.

Restricted Dry Zones:

Unfortunately, we cannot deliver to certain restricted areas due to alcohol regulations. Please DO NOT place an order if your delivery address falls within the following postcodes:

Please double-check that the delivery address you provide during checkout is correct and complete. If the address is incorrect or incomplete, your order may be returned to us, and you will be responsible for the associated costs.

Incorrect Address Fees:

Australia Post charges a return fee of $13.95 per item for incorrect or incomplete addresses. If this happens, we will invoice you for the cost of returning the item to us and reshipping it to the correct address. If a refund is issued due to an incorrect address, the postage and return costs will be deducted from your refund amount.

Order Cancellations:

You can cancel your order for a full refund as long as it has not yet been dispatched.

Our Errors:

If we make an error with your order, we will cover all costs associated with correcting the issue.

Holiday Season Delays:

Please be aware that delays may occur between December 1st and December 24th due to the holiday season. We will do our best to track your order and provide updates if any delays are expected.
