Volume: 700ml ABV: 48% Age: 10 Years Old Country: Scotland
The Single Malts Of Scotland range is brought to us by London based Elixir Distillers. They specialise in independently bottling Japanese and Scottish whisky but also bottle American and Irish whisky from time to time. The company’s three core whisky brands are Elements of Islay, Port Askaig and The Single Malts of Scotland, while it also bottles navy rum under the Black Tot brand. The Single Malts of Scotland range provides independent bottlings of vintage single malt Scotch from many distilleries and at a variety of ages.
The Single Malts of Scotland Reserve Casks are a flavour-led exploration of fine single malts, bottled in small batches of three to ten casks. Each parcel of bottles shows the variety of styles and flavours found across Scotland, and the differences in angel’s share depending on region. Bottled at a consistent 48% with no added color and no chill-filtration, the Reserve Casks are intended to suit the palates of both novices and experts alike.
A small batch of five barrels from Glen Garioch Distillery have been used to create this Highland Single Malt, distilled in 2012 and aged for 10 years. This is a chocolatey dram with essences of rose water and peach.
