This no age statement release from the Glencadam distillery is named after the year in which they were founded. The whisky is a wonderful creation of spirit matured in the finest of American white-oak ex-bourbon barrels and then the spirit is finished in barrels which previously held Oloroso Sherry.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: Red and tropical fruits with some dry sherry sweetness, creamy vanilla and spice.
Palate: Stewed tropical fruits, vanilla caramel, malt, Christmas spices.
Finish: Ripe pears, toffee and tropical fruits.

This Whisky has the most amazing nose. Never experienced anything quite like it. It just leaps out of the glass! Quite unexpected for a low ABV Whisky. The oak is there and the cereal / barley is buttery and tantalizing. The palate is smooth with the spirit giving way to pineapple and citrus-like flavours. The finish is medium in length but again very long for the low ABV. Quite stunning and if you didn’t know the price you’d swear you were drinking something twice the cost. Excellent.
