Càrn Mòr is an independent bottling label produced by the family owned and operated Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers. Morrisons own the Aberargie distillery in Perth, Scotland which is now 3 years old (January 2021). The company was originally started by an ex employee of the independent bottling company Scottish Liqueur Centre when in 2008 he gathered a group of whisky enthusiasts and began bottling and selling whisky. The Gaelic name Càrn Mòr is given to the ninth highest mountain in Scotland which sits on the Northwest Highlands. The English translation is Great Peak.
A smoky single malt from the Glenturret Distillery, released under the name Ruadh Maor. This 11 year old expression was aged in refill sherry hogsheads, from 2011 to 2022, before being bottled up by Càrn Mòr for the Strictly Limited range. Only 1,473 bottles were produced and bottled at 47.5% alc/vol.
