Description
Tamnavulin Double Cask Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)
Volume: 700ml ABV: 40% Age: No Age Statement Country: Scotland
The Tamnavulin Distillery dates back to the 1800’s where it played second fiddle to the Glenlivet Distillery. It is one of the original Speyside distilleries producing a light cereal driven malt whisky. It boasts six large stills and has a short fermentation time. The distillery has been open and closed through its long history jumping from the ownership of Invergordon Distillers to Whyte & MacKay and now currently owned by Philippines based group Emperador (2021). Most of the single malt that is produced here is used in blends.
This double cask matured single malt is the first release from the distillery since the 1990’s. A whisky that was initially matured in Ex Bourbon American oak barrels before being finished for a short period in ex Sherry barrels.
