Distilled in 2015 and matured for 9 years, this malt was aged in a balanced combination of First Fill Oloroso ex-Sherry Butts and Bourbon Barrels. This mixed maturation is key, allowing the sherry to add notes of spice and dark fruit while the Bourbon barrels maintain the distillery’s signature light, fruity, and floral character. Bottled at the traditional 100 Proof (57.1% alc/vol), this is an unfiltered, high intensity expression of modern Speyside.

Our Tasting Notes

Nose: Vibrant and complex. Notes of vanilla fudge, honeycomb, and pecans from the Bourbon wood intertwine with dried apricots, cinnamon spice, and hints of orange zest from the Oloroso.

Palate: Full bodied and robust. Flavours of creamy toffee, stewed apples, and ripe pear meet darker notes of spiced fruit cake and cocoa. The high ABV is beautifully balanced, providing intensity without harshness.

Finish: Long, warming, and silky. Lingering notes of dark berries, toasted nuts, and a final elegant flourish of creamy malt and gentle oak.
