The beautiful Aberfeldy Distillery was opened in 1898 by John Dewar and Sons. It sits on the banks of the River Tay, it is also situated by the local railway line which provided a door-to-door link to other areas of the UK. The water source is the local Pitillie Burn and the distillery produces around 2,100,000 litres of whisky every year. The spirit made at this distillery is a major contributor to the very popular Dewars blended whiskies.Robert Burns wrote a famous poem about Aberfeldy called ‘The Banks of Aberfeldy’ and as someone who appreciated a wee dram he would have sampled the wonderful whisky from this distillery. Star Spirits is an independent bottler based in Glasgow, Scotland. They pride themselves on bottling the finest single malt Scotch whisky, blended whisky and blended malt Scotch whisky. Producing artisan single cask whisky from various regions of Scotland as well as bottling rums, gins and Bourbon whiskey. All products are small batch, bottled at cask strength.

An independent bottling from one of Scotland’s great distilleries, Distilled in 2014 and matured for 7 years in an oloroso hogshead. Bottled in 202n at 57.8% abv with only 297 bottles available.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Fizz wiz & BMX Inner Tubes

Palate: Warm chocolate soup & a hug from someone nice in a cashmere sweater.

Finish: Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it yet – A bit like this dram.
