Official Tasting Notes

Nose:Fresh and fruity but with plenty of sherry sweetness. This whisky explodes dark fruits, figs, raisins and prunes. Hazelnuts and dark chocolate, freshly baked sponge with treacle and golden syrup. The wood is evident too, fresh barrel wood shavings and caramelised brown sugar.

Palate: Again fruity. Raisins, figs, blackberries, raspberries and lashings of sherry sweetness. Freshly baked Christmas mince pies. Praline chocolates, dark brown sugar caramelised, cinnamon and maple syrup. Add a touch of water and there is dark chocolate and white pepper with plenty of delicious oak. Fig jam and blackberry jam, balsamic vinegar and sticky date pudding..

Finish: Just sooooooo long and delicious. Chocolate and berries, Christmas spices and sherry bursts. Don’t miss this one.
