Glen Grant Arboralis Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)
Volume: 700ml ABV: 40% Age: No Age Statement (NAS) Country: Scotland
Located in Rothes, in the heart of the Speyside region of Scotland, near the River Spey. The Glen Grant Distillery was founded in 1840 by brothers John and James Grant. It quickly gained a reputation for its distinctive, elegant whisky. James Grant (“The Major”) was particularly innovative and a visionary, introducing tall, slender stills and unique water-cooling purifiers to create a lighter, purer spirit. He also established beautiful Victorian gardens around the distillery, which are still a popular attraction. Glen Grant was part of Chivas Brothers (Pernod Ricard) for a period before being acquired by Campari Group in 2006. It is famously one of the biggest-selling single malt whiskies in Italy. Glen Grant is famous for producing a light, elegant, fruity, and approachable single malt, which is a hallmark of its design.
Arboralis” means “light from within the trees,” a poetic nod to the tall, ancient trees lining the Victorian Gardens at The Glen Grant distillery, which shelter the casks. This is a bright, golden single malt Scotch whisky, Non-age statement (NAS), but generally understood to be a younger expression, likely around 10 years old or a blend of whiskies around that age. Matured in a combination of hand-selected ex-Bourbon barrels and Oloroso Sherry casks. This blend of cask types contributes to its balanced profile. Bottled at 40% ABV, non-chill filtered,
