Kirin Fuji-Sanroku Signature Blend Japanese Whisky (700ml)

Built in 1972 the distillery was owned by Seagrams which allowed the distillery access to funds to build the distillery with a quite modern approach. Using water that has filtered through volcanic rock allows access to soft clean and clear water. The water supply is the melted snow another fresh approach to making whisky. The distillery is quite industrial with large warehouses and modern approach to whisky making.
Launched in Japan in 2018 as a premium label replacement of the massively successful Fuji Sanroku Tarujukugenshu 50°. Each casks used in this blend is hand selected by Kirin’s Jota Tanaka, the 2017 Icons of Whisky Master Distiller/Master Blender of the Year.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: Toffee, pineapple, passion fruit, apricot jam.
Palate: Orange, rye spice, nutmeg, cloves, apricot jam, pineapple, wood shavings, passion fruit.
Finish: Very well controlled wood. Rye spice, smooth bourbon, passion fruit, pineapple and jam.
