Speyburn Hopkins Reserve Single Malt Scotch Whisky (1000ml)
Volume: 1000ml ABV: 46% Age: No Age Statement Country: Scotland
The Speyburn Distillery is situated in Rothes, Speyside, Scotland. Established in 1897 by John Hopkins after discovering a pristine water source in the Granty Burn. It was designed by Architect Charles Doig, known for the iconic pagoda roof and innovative drum malting system. Currently owned by Inver House Distillers, also owners of Old Pulteney, Knockdhu, Balblair, and Balmenach distilleries. The distillery has a capacity of approximately 4 million litres annually.
Speyburn Hopkins Reserve is a tribute to the founder of Speyburn Distillery, John Hopkins. This 46% alc/vol single malt whisky is aged in American oak bourbon casks that previously held peated whisky, imparting a delicate smokiness. Expect subtle peat smoke, candied citrus fruits, sweet honey, and vanilla on the nose; green apples, toffee, and zesty lemons on the palate; and a sweet, zesty, long-lasting finish. Crafted using fresh spring water from the Granty Burn, this whisky celebrates Speyside’s rich heritage.
