Talisker is the only distillery on the famous Isle of Skye and was built in 1830. The distillery is now owned by Diageo and it produces around 2,600,000 litres of whisky per year. The water source is a local burn near the distillery. Talsiker’s smell and taste have always connect the whisky connoisseur with the rugged West Coast of Scotland.  From this distillery you can expect peat smoke, sea salt, lots of barley and citrus sweetness with a peppery finish.

A rich dried-fruit sweetness with clouds of smoke and strong barley-malt flavours, warming and intense. At the back of the mouth is an explosion of pepper.

Our Tasting Notes

Nose: Delicate smoked kippers, sweet apple crunch, a calm morning on the beach.

Taste: An intense whisky with lots of smoke and fruity sweetness, salty with peppery notes.

Finish: A very pleasant sweet smokey finish with lots of pepper coating the back of the mouth to a long finish.
