St Andrews Day celebrations
Wednesday, 30th November is St Andrews day, the national day of Scotland. Like Australia day, it is celebrated across the country (albeit, in much colder conditions) with dinners, some ceilidh dancing and not forgetting a few drams!
St Andrews day celebrates the feast of St Andrew, the patron saint of Scotland. In Scotland, and many countries with Scottish connections, St Andrew’s Day is marked with a celebration of Scottish culture and history with traditional Scottish food, music and dance. In Scotland the day is also seen as the start of a season of Scottish winter festivals encompassing St Andrew’s Day, Hogamny and Burns Night.
At the whisky company we’re all about sharing the shindig. So between Friday, 25 November and St Andrews day our core range of Glencadam and Tomintoul bottlings will be discounted by 10%.
Whether you’re a Scot, or an honorary one, we can all celebrate this special day.
Slainte!
