Volume: 700ml      ABV: 40%      Age: No Age Statement      Country: Ireland
Connemara was the first and one of the most important releases to show that Irish whiskey can be peated. This whisky is inspired by the whiskies that would have been produced in Ireland over centuries. Peat in Ireland is often called ‘Turf’ and was readily avalable to whiskey producers in the early whiskey making days. It’s known that prior to the 20th century peated whiskey ws common in Ireland. Connemara whiskey is produced at the famous Cooley Distillery and has a distinct but still delicate smokiness, balanced by a smooth texture and sweet taste. This profile has been highly decorated, receiving over 20 medals from major spirits competitions since 2012.
Bottled at 40% alc/vol and arguably the most important peated Irish whiskey ever released in Ireland.
