The Lakes Distillery is situated in the Lake District National Park in Northern England. The distillery has not been talked about until recent World Whisky results were announced naming one of the whiskies produced here as ‘Best In The World’. It’s generally at this turning point after receiving such a momentous award that the distillery gets rather popular and everyone wants to start talking about The Lakes Distillery and drinking what it produces.
The Whiskymaker’s Editions are special-edition single malt whiskies which showcase the Lakes whiskymaker’s sense of adventure in cask selection, maturation, and blending. Each unique bottling is an expression of creative freedom, the product of a playground where instinct, experience and inspiration roam free, coming together to realise one intrinsic objective; the creation of outstanding flavours.

Each Edition is an exceptional diversion from The Lakes sherry-led house style. Matured in cream sherry casks and red wine barriques and bottled at 46.6% alc/vol.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: A vibrant aroma of ripe green apples, stewed plums, brandy soaked raisins, sticky date pudding and baking spices.
Palate: Dark ripe fruits, figs, dates, black cherries, black apples. There’s treacle toffee and more baking spices.
Finish: Medium to long, creamy sherry and more treacle toffee, red fruits and currants.
