The Singleton was originally established as a threesome of single malts. The Singleton of Glen Ord was produced as Diageo’s ‘green grassy’ malt which was reserved for Asia. The Singleton of Glendullan a fruity slightly grassy whisky for the US and Canada The Singleton of Dufftown a nutty, spicy which which was for the European market. Due to the demand for each item these whiskies are all available globally. A key driver in Diageo’s single malt portfolio The Singleton malts are well worth exploring.

This whisky is from the Glendullan distillery. Initially matured in ex-bourbon oak casks and then it was given a finish in rich Chardonnay de Bourgogne French oak casks. This allows the whisky to still showcase the wonderful spirit that is Glendullan but now the French oak cask elevates the the rich and rounded layers of texture and flavour.

Our Tasting Notes

Nose: Honeydew melon, crisp green ripe apples, grassy notes and hints of sea salt.

Palate: Toffee sweetness combines with green melon, fruit salad, wonderful acidity with soft spice.

Finish: Long with white chocolate, green grapes
