The Singleton was originally established as a threesome of single malts. The Singleton of Glen Ord was produced as Diageo’s ‘green grassy’ malt which was reserved for Asia. The Singleton of Glendullan a fruity slightly grassy whisky for the US and Canada The Singleton of Dufftown a nutty, spicy which which was for the European market. Due to the demand for each item these whiskies are all available globally. A key driver in Diageo’s single malt portfolio The Singleton malts are well worth exploring.
Matured in refill casks, ex Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, ex Oloroso sherry casks and ex first fill Bourbon casks. Bottled at 40% abv.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: Pear drops and candied apples, golden syrup, bread and butter pudding, soft spices and amaretto biscuits.
Palate: Pear drops, buttery vanilla fudge, floral notes of freshly cut grass, soft spices and some charred oak.
Finish: Vanilla fudge, ash and white pepper.
